    @JAB5625 Truly RIP Ben…. I didn’t know that he sang this song!

    Makes me sick that this cool cat with the great voice and the solid bass left us so soon… “Drive” is a song that will forever remind me of the wickedest case of puppy love, or love period for that matter, I will ever know… RIP Ben. You touched far, far, more people than you would ever know.

    One of the greatest rock bands ever!

  4. gornhorror says:

    @JAB5625 Thanks. You too. Good to see that there are still some people out there with good taste.

    I like Genesis for many of the same reasons I like the Cars. Unique, nobody like them, the molds for all I can tell are broken, ie, no one else will ever sound like either band. Though neither are on my very top shelf of all time bands I will admit, I absolutely respect the hell out of their work and I really love their music. I think dipshit Iggy Pop is disgusted that Genesis is in the HOF… Well dipshit, I hope you hate the Cars then, because they should be next…

    @gornhorror Absolutely perfectly said.

    Absolutely love this performance. I`ve already watched it 4 times over. The Cars were one of the greatest new wave bands. I remember when Ben Orr passed, I was shocked. Ric Ocasek, who`d been close to Ben since there teen years was devestated. He wrote the song “Silver” in Ben`s memorey. This is one of the few performances I seen at the Midnight Special were the crowd got into the music. Great Performance by a great band. Rest In Peace Ben Orr.

    @ThePimpdaddy2019 Pancreatic cancer in October, 2000, aged 53. Crying shame- Ben was one handsome-looking guy. I always thought he was a natural blond, but he looks like a brunett here.

    They were indeed original with a lot of cool hits.When my current band plays ‘Best Friends Girlfriend’ and ‘Just What I Needed’ they get the best reaction because these songs are ingrained into our DNA.

  17. liamtz says:

    Smooth vocals. The tune was written and developed before the band existed. Cool Yank music!
